Snapshots from Military History: Fall of Saigon and End of Vietnam War, 1975

On April 30th, 1975, The South Vietnamese government collapsed, securing North Vietnam’s victory and ending the Vietnam War. All remaining U.S. personnel were evacuated in an airlift operation, Operation Frequent Wind.


April 30th, 2025 marked the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, a conflict that lasted for almost two decades. Let us take time to remember those who laid down their lives in defense of this country.
